Accommodation at Holmriis B&B

The house was built in 1799 in Bjerring and was moved to Skovvejen 3 in Bjerringbro in 1860. The house originally housed a blacksmith's shop connected to Bjerringbro Mill. The blacksmith also lived in the house. The house "Villa Zira" is named after a former owner named Zira Villadsen. It is located in the heart of Bjerringbro, with 400 meters to the Gudenå River, 450 meters to the train station, and grocery shopping opportunities within 100 meters.

We, Astrid & Niels Holmriis, purchased the house on May 1, 2015, and it has been completely renovated for room rentals. The house is bright and comfortable, with internet and TV in the rooms and dining room. There is a small apartment called "Smedens Stue" with its own entrance through the front door, as well as two rooms on the first floor named "Klinken" and "Haspen" with entrance from the garden side.

You can rent the entire house and enjoy tranquility near everything.

Our guests have access to a small dining kitchen equipped with a refrigerator, stove, and microwave. There is tableware for 7 people. The house is non-smoking, but pets are allowed in "Smedens Stue" by prior arrangement.

We have been operating a B&B with room rentals since 2007 and know what our customers appreciate.

Aahuset is a charming thatched-roof house with an entrance hall, living room, kitchen, toilet/bathroom, and two smaller bedrooms on the first floor. The accompanying annex, "Brinken," is 15 m2 in size.

The property spans 2 hectares and includes a small forested area, a private stream, and is only 15 meters away from the Gudenå River. Guests of the house have free access to 100 meters of private fishing rights along the river. The house is equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay for four people, including a stove, refrigerator, Nespresso machine, regular coffee maker, kettle, microwave, toaster, kitchen towels, dishcloths, and a washing machine. Additionally, there is a basin for foot baths, a hairdryer, a large outdoor gas grill, and garden furniture. Binoculars, nature books, and various games are also available.

There is a small TV with Chromecast in Aahuset, and internet access and electricity are available at the parking area. The house is heated by a gas furnace and a wood-burning stove, while Brinken is electrically heated.

The "Herligheden" is furnished with 4 rooms for accommodation. You will be staying in a large part of the house, while the rest houses Astrid and Niels' Whiskyshoppen, Kunst & Tekstilsnedkeri (Art & Textile Workshop), Holmriis design, and Holmriis Forsikringsagentur (Insurance Agency).

Here are the rooms we offer:

- "Pigeværelse" (Girls' Room): 8 sqm room on the 1st floor with a single bed and an alcove under the sloping ceiling.
- "Herreværelset" (Gentlemen's Room): 8 sqm room on the 1st floor with a single bed and an alcove under the sloping ceiling. An additional bed can be arranged in the alcove (185 cm). These two rooms share a toilet/bathroom.

- "Skyttes kontor" (Skytte's Office): 9 sqm room on the ground floor with 2 single beds and a private toilet/bathroom in the hallway.

- "Udsigten" (The View): 15 sqm double room on the 1st floor with a private toilet and bathroom in the room.

We offer complimentary tea and coffee in the rooms. The beds will be made, and you can borrow towels for your stay. There is a hairdryer, a basin for foot baths, and an iron available for the rooms. The fireplace room has books, games, and songbooks for your enjoyment.

The house, "Gudenå Lodge," was built in 1968 and was one of the first houses in the area, which now has around 70 holiday homes. It is situated on a secluded 5,500 sqm plot in the middle of the forest.

Gudenå Lodge can accommodate a total of 7 people.

The kitchen/living room is located in the original building from 1968. It has a terrace door and a half-door leading to the courtyard. The annex, built in 1986, includes an entrance, two bedrooms, and a toilet with a shower. On the property, you will also find a small house called "Bixen," which contains cushions for the garden furniture, pots for bonfires, and other useful items.

The house is heated with electric radiators, and if necessary, the gas oven can be used. We kindly ask that you turn off the heating when windows and doors are open and before departure.

We greatly appreciate the tranquility and life in the forest and hope that you will also have a wonderful experience. Deer, squirrels, and hedgehogs come close to the house, and you can observe the birdlife in the forest.
